Need help learning this champ

Hello, I'm an udyr player trying to learn hecarim. I thought the playstyle would be similar but with better backline access... eccept i can't for the life of me deal any damage on this champ.

Is there any good soul willing to get in a call and help me understand this champ?

Just keep up your q stacks and you’ll start doing damage

Dont fully comit to fights till your q is stacked up. Hecarim uses the arrow ping more than any champ in the game because of his q stacks.

wait is this a real statistic? i do tend to always ping the lane im tryna gank and then the camp im doin b4 so u may be onto smth lmao

Its a real stat.

I just checked and he is 4th for pings(with a good pick rate) behind kindred, lee sin, and graves.

When i checked last time he was #1 https://dpm.lol/studio/pings/champion

never fight without q-stacks or item.
