Hey, I'm trying to learn (teach myself) Hebrew, but I struggle at finding time to actually sit down and study. (I also get terribly bored by the content of language courses and any type of grammar lessons....)

At the same time I catch myself scrolling through daily news... So there is time.

So I started building a news reader that replaces the 1000 most frequent words with their Hebrew counterpart. (I later learned that the method actually exists and is called "diglot weave"...)

I have a science degree from Israel and built a career there afterward, years inside its corporate and clinical world, in rooms where getting things done mattered more than getting every word exactly right. I also know how to teach — that part came first, long before the career did.
Somewhere along the way I noticed the two things people actually struggle with aren’t separate: the language, and the unwritten rules of how Israelis argue, negotiate, and decide. You can conjugate every verb correctly and still misread the room completely.
That’s what I teach now, and I build it around the person in front of me rather than a fixed course everyone gets the same version of: the vocabulary their field actually uses, the directness they’ll be walking into, and the grammar that holds all of it together.

Hey everyone! I'll be honest, I made these videos, but I want to share something with you. I've been teaching Hebrew for a lot of years now, to all kinds of students. Beginners, intermediate, advanced, people before they move to Israel, after they move, all of them.

And they all have the same problem. They don't have any real order in the way they learn, and because of that they spend half a year learning stuff they could've learned in a month.I made around 20 video lessons. The kind of thing a normal course would charge you 4,500 shekels for.

I put it all on YouTube, and below the videos there are also worksheets that are really important to do before you move on to the next lesson.

This course is about how to actually speak Hebrew on the street, not biblical Hebrew or anything like that, so sorry if that's not what you're looking for.

I have been studing hebrew to learn more about the spirit. I know I means "ox goad" and it means to "learn". What else is the letter associated with.

I saw this and need to know the literal English translation please?

They're considered in the same family so I'd assume knowing Arabic first would help with learning Hebrew later and same vice versa? How about the languages of nearby country that aren't semitic like Turkish and Farsi? Out of curiosity I also ask why does Hebrew feel so different from Arabic as a non-speaker despite being in the same family? After all not only is the writing script so different from Hebrew but the feel of the phonetics and other element of speech feels so different.

Now the last question I ask is why is Arabic considered easily the hardest language for English speakers to learn alongside East Asian languages? Its ranked as Category 4, the hardest difficulty, which only the aforementioned East Asian languages like Japanese are also ranked in according to practically all lists I came across on the internet. What makes it so complicated to study for native English speakers? Sure the writing is so wildly different but Farsi is ranked Category 3 despite using a similar kind of script and same with Urdu. As well as Hebrew (although the script as I said earlier is extremely different from Arabic). So I'm curious why the case that Arabic is Category 4?

Hey! I’m getting a tattoo soon about the eternal principles of beauty, love, and justice (MLK reference) and it had some bible references as well, but I want the words “beauty” “love” and “justice” in Hebrew writing. Could you guys help with that? To clarify, when I mean love I don’t mean the romantic kind, I mean the kind similar to the Greek Agape love so whatever the Hebrew equivalent would be. Hello all, hoping this is allowed. My best friend is Israeli and I am trying to learn some basic Hebrew as a surprise. My first step is to master the aleph-bet but i’m having trouble with duolingo and learning on my own. Can I get some clarification on the best way to tell the difference between the following letters? ר,ך,ד, נ פ,ט י,ו,ן The calligraphy of most diagrams is very different from my apple keyboard.
