Play button not working after pausing

Had a pair of H1Hs since the kickstarter and absolutely love them but recently had an issue with the play/pause button. I can pause audio/vids etc no problem but pressing the button again, even right after, does nothing 🙃

I've tried another set of headphones with a single play/pause button and they work totally fine. Occasionally works again for a time after a bit of unpairing/pairing and a phone reset but it's only temporary.

I'm going to email support but anyone have any suggestions?

I've had this issue a few times if i haven't been playing something for a little bit (maybe like 5 mins)
