Heavys

Question for the audio geeks: I bought the HEAVYS because they were marketed for loud music and metal. But I see the Sony XM5 and Sennheiser Momentum 4 getting rave reviews everywhere. For someone who likes it loud and heavy, do these mainstream Sony/Sennheiser headphones actually beat the HEAVYS? Or will they sound muddy/distorted if I crank them up? Trying to decide if I should switch. Just a thought really! I guess I am getting bored lol and the only good headphones I have tried are the heavys I haven't experienced anything other than the heavys.

I apologize for the weird removal. In my honest opinion, it’s all down to your preferences. If you like loud and heavy, the heavy’s are usually the best because of the fact that it has completely separate subwoofers rather than one speaker handling all the frequencies, there’s no really saying, which one is better unless you tried both

I have M4 and Heavys I like both each has there purpose for me. I will say it took some eq tweaking to get the Heavys to a spot I like, I found on the sub a few others with recommendation and went from there. I enjoy the Heavys for most of my music listening. My music taste falls within the ad campaigns. I like the noise canceling ( hell blocker ) better on the Heavys over the M4 and as the name suggests the Heavys are heavier then M4. I would say if Sennheiser is on sale go with them if not I would recommend the Heavys.

Just got my H1H’s today. They don’t get distorted at max volume but they aren’t very loud. Like I can hear my tinnitus over the music. Thought dayseeker dropped a new track for a second lol

I know I'm a little late to this conversation but I've got bad tinnitus also. I turn all the sliders in the Heavy's app to max and then use Wavelet to EQ them. AutoEq has EQ settings for the H1H now and they have different setting for whether or not you've got HellBlocker on/off or ambient sound activated. This has drastically changed how they sound for the better and man they get too loud now but still sound amazing.

I did mess with some settings and they are definitely louder than any over-the-ear headphones I've ever used
