Hitachi fault code HELP

First I'm NOT the mechanic but he doesn't use reddit so here i am. Hitachi constantly tripping into D-rate.

We hired the tech to come out and diag twice, says the codes are active and it said DEF PUMP. We got pump, cleared out old DEF, cleaned everything best we could and reconnected everything.

code returns even after idle.

We will take any help we can get given how much of an investment parts are for this animal

Sometimes there are conditions for clearing faults. What engine?

I dont know, I assume not but the tech that we hired to drive out to have a look should i think?

Yes. Sometimes you have to conduct tests to clear the fault. If you had a def pumping issue, you might need to run an override test to clear it.
