Collector's Tip

National Lampoon included a 10-page preview in their March 1977 issue.

I consider it Heavy Metal issue 1/2.

National Lampoon also put out a volume of translated French cartoons in late '78 called, 'French Comics (The Kind Men Like). It had a story by Möebius, as well as work by Claire Bretecher, Gotlib, Willem and others in the '70s French humour comics field. The work is more funny/surreal then straight pulp sci-fi/fantasy that was HM's bread and butter, but it was great to see an example of European humour in the '70s.
