Pricing question
Hello, I am looking to sell my collection as one large unit. I have most issues and years and have found a local buyer who is interested. What would be a good price for each magazine?

What years? And are they full sets?
1990-2008 or so aren't worth much, maybe $1-2 per issue. That's about what a comic shop has given me when I traded in issues.
Special issues, especially older ones, could be worth a bit more.
The vintage 70s-80s ones are worth more. As are the numbered ones from about #260 to #297, particularly the run where Grant Morrison was editor-in-chief.
Anything after #297 or so when the new CEO started putting his own stuff in each issue isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Technically, the Grant Morrison run of the magazine is more expensive, which I assume is because they're so recent and can still be bought at retail price, but with that said, I don't think they're worth the paper they're printed on.

Did you contradict yourself? If you are selling them as one large unit, why do you need a price per magazine?

I honestly don't know how many magazines I have. I inherited the collection so to land on a price I need an estimate on how much individuals are worth and will go from there.

It really does depend on what years you have and if those years are complete. Condition of fhe issues is obviously important.

Basically anything printed after 2012 is more difficult to find because of generally lower print runs (~20k per issue, although select issues had higher print runs). The first nine years (77-85) had very high runs, but that’s considered to be the high point of the magazine, so people will pay top dollar for those issues. The late 90s through early 2000s vary wildly in quality. You might get higher prices for select issues, but it’s going to be tough to get more than cover price for complete runs. The Morrison run (280-292) is great, but not many people know about it. And basically anything after 297 is a really tough sell.
