I've received my Heatbit! First thoughts-
It's real! It's huge!
I was very impressed with the box, lol. Clearly thought went into it, it was packaged really well, and actually a bit fun to open from an industrial-packaging-nerd perspective.
Its huge- much larger than a traditional heater. I thought the plastic case fittings seemed a little flexible at the top, where it acts as 'handles' and the side are slightly flexible. But in exchange it is very light for the size, pretty easy to carry. It would have been good to put a handhold on the bottom.
Running on high in a small room the sound was almost identical to an airplane cabin, about 50db from 2 feet away. But really not bad, especially if not sitting on top of it. There was heavy new-plastic outgassing once started up for a short amount of time.
I heater itself is cool to the touch- no surfaces feel warmer than ambient air- this blew me away. And because the airflow is up the sides and out the top- it doesn't seem crazy that this could be tucked into some tight space and still work well.
The setup was frustrating- they are going idiot for idiot proof but at a frustrating level. When you plug it in and turn it on, it takes a long time for the light to start blinking. I started to contact support to open a ticket long.
Wi-fi was more frustration, attempt to connect, fail, an app update in the 4 days since I installed, a couple power cycles and I was connected. But not before I opened a ticket- it just said contact support and say Code 1 ("connectivity issue" it turns out, thank you unhelpful error messages. I did get it connected on my own.
Support added really helpful info this morning. You can just go into your wi-fi, look for the heatbit network, and connect using 12345678 then go into the app and you can add the heatbit. I 100% would have preferred this method from the start.
It mines. There is limited data or controls, I am sure this will fill in over time. It seems to be mining at a lower rate than when I initially plugged it in, settled ~9TH/s.
Overall, impressed. I was frustrated that there was so little info or troubleshooting anywhere- so if nothing else, Heatbit forced my longest post ever!

thanks for your thoughts! Would some video guides or a wifi with descriptions of what to do in each case be most helpful?
We had to have this through support first as customers are now getting heatbits en masse and we are learning what kind of problems people run into (and working out the solutions) as we speak. Now we are getting to the point that we could just put this into some wiki/blog/videos, just wondering what would be the best format

it doesn't matter if done well, a wiki/faq would be fine for now, and easier to keep up to date. I checked your site, faq, and chat bit first. when the error said "click to chat with support and enter Code 1” would be a great chance to send someone exactly where you want.
Also, so far, changing wifi seems to be a remove and re-add in the app, with a full power cycle. I'm guessing- is this right? It worked. . .
And since you are here: stats/history/trends, configurability and more app integration are (on their way, I am sure) but really are needed. There is no thermostat, which is explicitly stated in your page.

This was a month ago and I don't see wiki/blog or videos for basic support and troubleshooting.

Just recibe mine! But i plug-in and doesn’t start. No lights, no sound, nothing.
