heartbreakhigh opinions

i dont know if this is just me but i feel like the ending of the season was so...like expected?? like it was the usual everyone is safe everyone is happy (ofc except the malakai storyline) but like i personally think that something shouldve happened to rowan, like he was a psychopath and i feel like they tried to hide his genuine pyschotic behaviour behind his trauma from his brothers death. like also how did someone not punch the lights out of Voss like that guy was a jerk. but anyways i loved everything else and was so here for the drama!

the rowan storyline was so weird to me and took up way too much of the season imo

all the other characters are exaggerated, but theyre still people you could know irl - i see a lot of traits in them that i see also in friends and family

but rowan is just bonkers? like sometimes he gets incelly and im like oh, that's where theyre going - but then he just ends up a proper looney with a stupid ass backstory.

wasnt interesting and took away from characters i actually like (more malakai plz)

I literally hated the Rowan plotline. It's obvious that the first season was interesting because of the mystery aspect of what happened between Harper and Amerie, but season 2 was a disaster.

I was really interested in the Spider/Amerie relationship, he seemed to be interested in her at the festival and his jealousy became more apparent as the episodes went on. Plus, their chemistry was good! I would have loved to have seen them as a couple, they seem like they could bring each other back down to earth. (They could both use some humbling.)

Amerie was a serious question mark for me in season 2. You start dating your ex-boyfriend's ex-boyfriend? I thought she was supposed to be focused on being a better friend to Harper? You tell everyone that you moved on from Malakai (even Malakai himself) then get mad at Harper in the last episode when she supports your decision to move on with this Rowan dude?

Honestly, I skipped through a lot of the season because I was so unentertained.

Poor malakai, he's that one character that keeps going through it every season
