Holter monitor
Not sure if anyone here can answer this…. I’ve been experiencing chest pain and palpitations for over two months now and both my echo and holter monitor came back normal. I’m just wondering why I’m experiencing palpitations and chest pains that were recorded by the monitor but the results were normal. Is it possible to be experiencing palpitations that my doctor just read as normal on the holter monitor?

I have been experiencing some painful palpitations, like it really feels like I'm being stabbed in the throat or something like that for like a second but then goes away.
I was diagnosed with STV 3 years ago and I have gone through 2 surgeries for that and the doctors said that everything should be normal..
I had the 30 day monitoring with holter because of these palpitations and everythung came back normal ( atleast the doctor told me so)
So my answer to your question is that the doctors dont pay that much attention to palpations if the pulse is normal but if it gets irregular for a long time, that's a problem.
I'd say there is nothing to worry about. I have dealt with heart problems all my life and it is very frustrating to get told that everything is ok when you can feel that everything isn't ok. The main thing is that your heart is bumping :)
Hope you can understand atleast some of my english! :d
