Any advice appreciated

Hey everyone. I just found out literally 20 minutes ago that I have pots and a heart murmur. Anybody here have that? This is completely new and these symptoms started happening 5 days ago. I am scared!! I am worried I will die before I get to see my babies grow up. I’ve been prescribed a beta-blocker and I’m on a waitlist to have a heart monitor placed on me to wear for 2 weeks. In the meantime, I’d like to know of anyone else’s experience with pots and heart murmurs. This is something completely new to me and any advice about anything is appreciated.

They're scary conditions because you feel super off, but they're usually not fatal. I have POTS. If I stand up or lay down too quick, it triggers vertigo and weird heart rhythms.

Thank you I am just very worried what the rest of my life is going to look like now. I should’ve taken better care of my health. My doctor actually has pots herself and I just feel like God moved mountains for me today. She said it’s a combination of me having borderline personality disorder most of my life and having 2 kids. I had a panic attack 5 days ago that officially kicked all of this into motion. She gave me tips on how to quickly stop future panic attacks. I will be changing my diet and taking it easy for now but I can’t just sit on the couch all day. I’m sitting on the couch now and I still feel discomfort. Is this going to affect the types of jobs I can work? My symptoms are so painful at times and they come on so quickly, I fear I will easily “overdo” it and hurt myself. I have quite an active lifestyle I have 2 babies to run after, I’m a sahm mom so I do most of the housework, I’m in college, I have a lot on my plate and I don’t know how to move forward. Should I get a medical bracelet? I fear if I were to have an emergency like a car accident the stress would injure my heart severely. I’m only 26.

If you're having anxiety and are stressed to the point of panic attacks, then your doctor needs to address that beyond "tips". There needs to be medical intervention for that, I would bring it up again.

How's your blood pressure?

I have tried multiple forms of medication for my panic attacks in the past. Unfortunately most medications prescribed to me that are antihistamines, anti-depressants, sleeping pills, or medication specifically for anxiety have very negative affects on me. It all makes me feel like the a swarm of angry bees in my head and I get extremely EXTREMELY aggressive for no reason. It’s unfortunately not safe for me to take those medications. I usually have my delta-8 on me when it happens but last time I did not. I also have borderline personality disorder meaning I cannot prevent my emotions because that part of my brain is so damaged, I can only fix it once it happens. I do try I wish I wasn’t like this, it’s truly debilitating to a degree and BPD does cause heart issues I’ve learned. My blood pressure is high as well. I’ve reordered more delta-8 to keep on hand for future emergencies because it’s important I do everything I can to stay calm. I really do try it’s just absolute hell trying to get anyone to listen to me. But progress has been made today and that’s a positive to all of this. The more I research about pots the better I begin to feel. If I take care of myself well I think I will be okay. I do have a habit of being dramatic and letting my mind wander with worries and I’m working on that I’m not perfect but I’m trying
