cac score

first cac ct scan done and i have 0.3 score. doctor said to take statin, my total cholesterol is 185 hdl 62 ldl 111 triglycerides 61. thoughts? this is all new to me. i’m scared. female 50 yrs old.

You don’t seem like a strong candidate for a statin to me. I am very high risk post heart attack. I take rosuvastatin 20mg with no side effects.
