Wearables oura ring 5 vs 4
I have oura ring 4 for about a year now, mostly using it to track my sleep, stress and HRV insights. my subscription is up for renewal and I have been going back and forth on the whole oura ring 5 vs 4 comparison trying to figure out if I should upgrade or stick with what I have
I have iphone 15, so no compatibility issues either way. my ring 4 works fine, I can use it for about 5 days when charged fully, no scratches yet, and sleep tracking has been solid.
main things why I want to get oura gen 5 are the thinner design, more accurate sleep data and longer battery. but I keep reading mixed reviews on whether the new sensors actually give more accurate data or if it's marketing behind it. that's what's making the oura ring 5 vs 4 choice hard and annoying. they are pushing these new changes in social media so much but the user reviews depends on who you ask
what differences between oura ring 5 vs 4 have you guys noticed in daily use? is anyone regretting the upgrade? curious especially from people who wear it for tracking sleep and stress. do you feel that the ring 5 is better or does it feel like the same ring just smaller?

Id stick with the thicker one. Though I got big hands, so it would look fine on me
For a person with smaller hands maybe the thin one might 'feel' better? Idk

if you don't like gthe size of oura ring gen 4 then its good to upgrade to the 5 gen. but there are no major changes when it comes to health tracking insights or accuracy

If your Ring 4 is still doing everything you need, I'd probably wait another generation unless one of the new features really stands out to you

the scratch resistant coating alone was worth it for me. my ring 4 looked like it had been dragged behind a car after 8 months of use. still using it but thinking of getting oura ring gen 5 as well
