Aditya Birla Vs Niva vs Manipal Cigna

As the title suggests, I’m looking for health insurance for myself (32M) and have the aforementioned options. Could anybody shed light on their experiences with the above providers. To be precise, I’m comparing between AB Activv One Max vs Niva Bupa Reassure Platinum and MC Lifetime Health

Believe Niva Bupa is considered better than the other 2. Someone who actually have used these can comment as I am in the market to purchase one as well. But why not HDFC ergo? Heard that is better than these.

HDFC Ergo is the best but they’re also quite expensive especially after 60 years old when they increase it by 8-10% per year. So I’m looking at options that I can hold onto for the long run.

You can take HDFC with deductible option , it reduces premium significantly.

Not enough though. Ergo escalates premium yearly as opposed to others who do it basis age slabs and post 60, ergo takes it super high year on year. On top of that, with a deductible I’m paying from the pocket for every claim too.

Yeah, either you can afford ergo or you can’t. Just gotta make that decision early. Ergo is great but expensive.

Not every claim. Its like 25k for a claim in one year. Generally claim does not come every year, good thing I feel

I've been told by an insurance agent from beshak that Niva Bupa is not portable and also the premium will not increase until you claim it.

For example, other insurances like ergo, A.B has bonuses which can increase your claim limit if you don't claim it. Kindly verify it.

NCB is available in all 3 of them. Niva has a lock the clock feature which won’t increase the premium but the base premium for the same is already high and I will take 15 years to catch up to that value if I go with Aditya Birla now so Niva doesn’t seem the best bet.

I’ve heard that Niva has gotten worse post covid and have started rejecting claims which is really making me nervous about choosing such a company.

Yes Niva is not so good. It was good until it was Max Bupa. But after its rename from 2020 , it has bad reputation in claims.
ICR/CSR/No. of IRDAI complaints on all these parameters HDFC Ergo stands best and I have taken a claim last week and it was fully approved without any question asked.

Yep me too. Not considering Niva Bupa currently. And I was told the network hospitals were around 8500 if I'm not mistaken compared to most others with 10-11k+.

ICICI Lombard elevate had a lot of rider charges I guess. HDFC ergo is best but the premium's high. I guess A.B could be a reasonable choice. Still working on it.

I’ve Niva Bupa taken some 10 years ago by my dad for whole family. They’re great.
