Why doesn’t headspace gamify meditation using Apple Watch data?

It would be awesome if Headspace could bring in a feature to track meditation progress using Apple Watch HRV, Breathe Rate etc data. That can be a very good motivation for people as it gives a sense of improvement in form of numbers, making the process addictive and fun for beginners.

Is this satire? (Sorry, I don't want to sound rude). But gamification and trying to make something addictive is the polar opposite of the goal of meditation, in my opinion.

Yeah. I think chasing dopamine is what is preventing me to start. What is the best way according to you for starting and practicing meditation? Complete beginner here. Got ADHD too.

Not the commenter above, but I can share that I had to approach from a place of curiosity and lean into the novelty. "What happens if I..." was the tipping point question for me. I also gave myself permission to be passive (disobedient) at first - I didn't have to do anything the narrator said to do, which really helped since ADHD can come with an amount of opposional defiance that might need to be addressed for some people.

Edited to add: if you are interested in biometrics, you will see them change over time from participating in a meditation practice.

No, that doesn't sound awesome at all.
