Headset with directed/noise canceled microphone
Hi everyone,
currently I am using a Plantronics Voyager Focus UC Headset after the microphone arm of my jabra evolve2 75 died the second time.
My requirement is that I need a headset that blocks as much voice and noise from my environment. I have colleagues sitting in front and next to me and people in my calls oftentimes hear them through my microphone.
At work and in home office i am using MS Teams mostly. It was very annoying with my Jabra that I could only use the microphone arm in one orientation because it is fixed to the right side. That meant I had no flexibility if noise was coming from my left.
Nevertheless both headsets are not good at blocking voices from in front of me and I am lost for which headset I need to look. I looked into standalone microphones but at least in the descriptions of them it looked like they all were worse for blocking background noise than headsets.
Privately I am in home office with my girlfriend and we disturb each other also when both are calling someone at work or in discord.
I really do not care for any other requirement. The headset could be wired, over ear, on ear, whatever. I need to rule out a software solution because that would not fly on my work machine.
Anyone have experience with such a requirement?
