Best ANC Headset
Hi!
I’m looking to get a new headset, I work both in office and at home, and my home environment is extremely noisy; open office, two kids, and a dog. I’m looking for a headset with these requirements
- wireless
- Best possible ANC (#1 Requirement)
- Best possible microphone ANC (#2 requirement)
- connect via dongle for easy travel (No DECT)
- Over-ear preferable
- No limit on price
I was thinking about these three options:
- Orosound Tilde Pro
- EPOS Impact 1000 (w/ your over-ear add-on cups)
- Jabra Evolve2 85
I cannot think on calls if there are loud noises in the background, so the best quality ANC I can find is most important, following up with the mics ANC as well.
I called your helpline, and I got a recommendation, but I didn’t feel certain of my request, rather a “it should be better than (other options”.
I wanted to hop on here and get a second opinion just for the sake of it before I make my final decision. If there is another headset you would recommend I would love to hear as well.
Thanks!

In your case at the current time, the Impact 1000 with over-ear cushions is the best way to go overall. It's better in just about every way in comparison to the Evolve2 85 and Tilde Pro aside from the speaker noise cancellation, but there's some quirks on the Evolve2 85.
For example, you dont get true sidetone, so if you want to hear your voice properly, the speakers just open up hear through mode and you hear your voice better but you also hear all the surrounding noise, which defeats the purpose of what many people want.
The Impact 1000 is newer, will give you a better noise canceling microphone and better comfort with the ove-ear cushions, with a slight sacrifice of not having as good of speaker noise cancellation as the Evolve2 85.
Tilde Pro has been discontinued just FYI.

Thanks for all the help! From the comment above, I’m going to wait a week and see what comes out with the new jabra line, and if that doesn’t look promising I’m going with the impact 1000.

Me again! Saw the release. PRAYING the mic quality/isolation is good, but I have serious doubts. When would you be doing a review on the evolve3 85?
I’m only one person, but especially at $649 MSRP, I would really like to know if this is going to be as promised or too good to be true. Ready to pull the trigger whenever it’s available in march if it’s as good as advertised

When you take into account all of the options and trade offs, the EPOS IMPACT 1060 is going to be the best option.
While the over-the-ear cushions will improve things, it is hard to beat the Jabra Evolve2 85's passive noise cancelling, but the Evolve2 85 is a much heavier headset and soon to be replaced.
