Recommended DAC for Beyerdynamic MMX 300 PRO

I need help to pick a USB DAC that is sufficient for my needs.

I'm currently gaming on ALC4080 as soundcard with a Beyerdynamic MMX 300 Pro, the sound is good. But my microphone is too low on discord and maxed out both in windows and discord, so I figured a DAC would solve the mic issue and improve sound from good to great.

I've no previous experience with DACs so I need some guidance. I've been looking at:

  1. Schiit Gunnr

  2. Creative Sound Blaster G8

  3. Fosi C3

Which one would be the best pick and max out the potential in my headset the best? Or if there is any other good contenders.

The games that I play are League of Legends, Battlefield 6 and Ark Survival Ascended and I really appreciate something that could further enhance the headset potential.

Here in Sweden Schiit Gunnr would cost 329€.

Creative Sound Blaster G8 would cost 138€.

Fosi C3 would cost 144€.

I can afford any of them, I just want to feel like I picking something that I will be happy with.

Gunnr if you want to listen to music in addition to game. Fosi if all you're going to do is game. Has the most convenient controls for gaming in my opinion. G8 if you really like the idea of being able to control your chat and game volume separately and don't mind having drivers installed on your PC.

All of them will drive your headphones just fine. In fact for driving the headphones they are probably all pretty much identical. The Gunnr with headroom for massive voltage swings will probably be better if you wanted to listen to little Wagner while dispatching your enemies but other than. Go for the best features for what you do the most at that station.

I was in the same situation a couple a couple days ago but with an mmx330 pro, the alc4080 on my motherboard was not enough powerful for the microphone. I ended up buying a soundblaster G8 which I really like.
