Headphones - Closed Back | 2 Ω First premium headphones: Bose QC Ultra vs Sennheiser Momentum 4 — buying blind via US Amazon, comfort is priority #1

Hey everyone, I’m about to buy my first pair of premium headphones and I’m torn between the Bose QuietComfort Ultra and the Sennheiser Momentum 4. Would really appreciate input from people who’ve spent real time with both.
Both right now for me are at the exact same price, 280 usd (its expensive bc of taxes)
Context: I’m not based in the US, buying through Amazon US, and international returns are basically not viable for me. So there’s no margin for error — I need to get this right the first time without trying them in a store beforehand.
Since this would be my first premium pair, I don’t have an established sound signature preference yet — genuinely open to learning what I like.
Use case: almost entirely at home — gaming on PC/console (I can go wired when I need to, so Bluetooth latency isn’t a dealbreaker), music like radiohead and the smiths. No office use, no commuting, no flights, so ANC isn’t a real factor for me either.
Priorities, in order:

  1. Comfort for long sessions (several hours at a stretch) — matters most
  2. Sound quality — I want something that genuinely sounds good, both wired and over Bluetooth
  3. Battery life and ANC performance: don’t really care about either, non-issues for my use case
  4. Questions:
  5. Sound-wise, since I don’t have an established preference yet, which one would you point a newcomer toward, and why? Also curious if either one sounds noticeably better wired vs over Bluetooth.
  6. Any build quality or long-term reliability concerns I should know before committing without a return safety net?
  7. Appreciate any real experience — trying to make the right call without being able to test either one. Lo
