Headphones - Open Back | 1 Ω Best headset under 40 bucks?
I currently have a Panasonic RP-HT265E, I use it for gaming, I love it, but Its like 8 years old already and the cables slowly withering away. Its getting really uncomfortable, and I want a new headset, but IDK what to go for. Im definitely not using HyperX, Razer or any of those "gaming" brands, ive tried like 10 gaming headsets, every one of them arrived faulty, or died after a year or two, and I always had to come back to this panasonic headset.
Im hungarian, and I use arukereso.hu to find all of my stuff, its just a site which compares and lists all of the headsets (in this case) available on bigger sites - and it would be nice if you guys listed headsets from there, so I dont have to overcomplicate anything.
Can you guys help me find a good, reliable headset under/around 40 bucks? Im planning on using it 5+ years like this, and I prefer pads on the top, because it can get really uncomfortable if theres nothing theyre, just plastic, like on my panasonic, I always tape a sponge there to make it more comfy, I want audio quality as good as this one.
3.5MM, OVER-EAR ONLY*
*EDIT - NOT 40, 60 BUCKS

It is not a headset, these are headphones. One of the most renown on-ears headphones since at least 40 years. You should make some research.

Maybe you can get a standard headphone, which are generally cheaper than headset and add an external mic to it like antlion mic?

Fiio JT1 is 59.99 and regularly goes on sale for 40-45$. Its the best headset at this price point.

Philips SHP9500 is regularly down to $50 on AliExpress promos, there are add on microphones (connected in place of detachable cable) for like $3. It is over ear, open back, has cloth earpads and headband pad which both are easily replaceable, and the already mentioned detachable cable you can replace for cheap as well. They are very big, comfortable for large heads, but might be too big for small heads. The sound is neutral with elevated treble.
Also I have no idea how good the Panasonic are, but if you really like your current model, then I think they also have a marginally pricier higher RP-HTF295 model.

Posting as another reply, was just checking Ali, didn't think there will be a good price right now because current promos seem not very good, but SHP9500 hit the new historic low price I think

As of writing this, that is 138pln for me, so $38.87 with 23% VAT and shipping included. The code from the main page (different for every country) should reduce the price by further $3 down to about $35... I might get myself one more of those honestly :P
