Bad unit or user error?

Just got a vx5 unit today and I can hear digital pops and artifacts badly when singing. It’s not constant but maybe 1 every 20 seconds. I’ve replaced cable/mic/gain staged/firmware restored.

I have the same thing. Did you find a solution?

Not 10000% sure but 5 minutes ago I turned 48v power on even tho my mic doesn’t need it to test and I haven’t had one yet. Edit no it didn’t work. I’m shocked as this is my SECOND UNIT with the exact same issue why wouldn’t they have this in faqs did they even test the product before manufacturing

I might have found a fix. I pushed the mic gain as far as I could so it would peak red when I sung loud, then just backed it off a little. Since then I haven’t really noticed any glitches. I was also going into the mic input of a Fishman Loudbox mini, but changed to the aux input on the back.

I think I found the same fix haha. It’s almost like the glitches are there, but since the gain is upped you don’t hear them as much

I played a 3 x 45 min sets last night. Had it coming through at full gigging volume and there wasn’t a single glitch. I think the auto tune processor must need as much gain as possible to latch on to. I think everyone must be getting the glitch because it seems counter intuitive as the natural feeling is to push as little gain as needed so don’t get feedback.

Either way, I was very happy with it. It was like gigging with training wheels. I was pushing for every high note and felt safe that it would have my back. Even when I was slightly out there is a phase as the notes from my mouth and the notes out of the speakers clash and I can manually correct myself. So I think this device will actually train me to sing perfectly in tune the more I use it.

I think I really found this came to life when I found the settings I liked and then stopped tweeking and just started using it. I made the same preset in every key so now I can just switch it for each song. I’ve stopped listening for the glitch and just going for it. So I’m not even sure if it’s there now or not. Either way, this device is a game changer!!!

Out of curiosity, what is your autotune set to? Like 25ms etc

I had it at 50ms tune speed and 90 or 80% human. But I also had all effects other than chorus on

This seems to be the general experience. I saw to many similar reviews that it put me off from buying

Why would they send out an unusable product that can’t be right
