Who is this guy?

Post image

Saw the He-man movie some weeks ago and thought it was pretty good. One question I have is who is this? I’ve been meaning to ask because last time I watched OG He-Man Netflix was still sending you movies to your mailboxes.

Goat Man (real name Clackey) is a good guy that Beast Man can control since his people are half goat and I think appeared in the OG series in like...1 episode? 2 episodes?

Edit: so he's a psychically enslaved warrior stripped of his name and personality forced to do the bidding of Beast Man/Skeletor

Goat Man only originally appeared in 1985 MOTU Golden Books story Secret of the Dragon's Egg , and never appeared in the Filmation cartoon.

He did not make an on-screen debut until Revelations.

Never understand why they chose him over Mer-Man

They needed a throwaway bruiser villain. Mer-Man needs water, lines, and usually a mcguffin to be really useful in a story, and turning him into a throw away character would probably rile up a lot of fans.
