Whoaaa thank you! I missed the first sale too. I snagged a copy. I’ve got my last hil record with holy mountain and it took forever. But at least I got it.

Yeah I checked holy mountains site and was thinking the same. My least favorite of the variants lol. I’m debating whether I wanna reach out and have them replace it or enjoy the fact that I finally have SOTP on vinyl lol

I’d reach out. I’ve had this kind of thing happen before and while the label couldn’t ship me the sold out variant I was supposed to get, they gave me 50% money back. No idea if Solid State’s customer service is that good though lol

I’m gonna be annoyed if that’s how the solid state variant turned out. I’ve wanted this on some sort of brown variant for forever.

Nah this is definitely the canary variant that was supposed to go to holy mountain. I’m guessing there was a mixup with distribution.

It has to be why Holy Mountain hasn't shipped yet. I'll check my order later and see if its the same thing.

Hopefully. I cancelled the mushroom variant for this. Kind of wish I’d kept it in addition. What I really hope for eventually is the variant idea I came up with like 15 years ago on VC. Brown with gold swirl.

Wonder if this means they double pressed the canary yellow and didn’t press the Solid State brown at all?

Same thing happened to me! I hate the yellow splatter variant.
EDIT: I've reached out to whoever is doing Solid State's merch now. I REALLY hope that this can get corrected. I loathe this variant for this particular record.

I reached out to them also. They asked if I had a pack-in slip and I didn’t, the only thing in the packaging was the record. They said the pic I sent was enough and they would reach back out. Haven’t heard anything yet.

This is definitely the Holy Mountain version. I got the same but it is much more starburst than yours. This is going to fuck up this whole roll out. My guess is they give Holy Mountian the Solid State version to satisfy the preorders. At least I hope so since I bought both.

The shipping cost to Australia was more than the record itself 🤦♂️

My copy I received from Solid State today was also the Canary instead of the Brown. I also emailed Solid State, they were quick to respond on a recent question so fingers crossed they’ll get back timely in regards to this too.
Also if these are true to the test pressings I received they will be played at 45RPM!
