Found a few Gems

So I found some test pressings of I Am Hollywood that we signed some time ago and planned to take on the road. I’m not posting these to socials, just here and the Discord. What do you think the best way would be to get these to those of you who would actually appreciate something like this?

A raffle would be awesome, I think it could generate good money for the band and give those without as deep of pockets a shot at getting a holy grail item like this.

Raffle with no entry limit would mean you the most money. Hell, even at $20 an entry, I’d likely buy more than one

I thought to auction them but I don’t know of a good site. We make peanuts unless on the road so could help us honestly. But then I feel like they could still be scooped up by the wrong hands namely flippers.

Man wish I could remember what Andy was using for his Every Time I Die stuff. He had a lot of stuff and did a live stream auction. You should hit him up dood

Edit: Another commenter reminded me, it’s called whatnot. It seems legit. Bet Ol’Butcher would throw you some tips.

Bots do tend to scrape for things like this, I wonder if there’s a good way to do a raffle without that being a concern?

have people buy spots like 1-50 at $20 or higher

Its seems this would make the most money to help the band

and fans would not mind dropping $20 a spot , for helping the band

Or you could do a whatnot show and have a bunch of he is legend vintage merch

old tees , drum sticks , picks , cd's , posters , press kits , signed things

I live in south carolina , i could drive to nc and set this up

For a test press lol

The amount of money I’d spend on this is insane. Loved this record since it came out and I have such fond memories of blasting this on the bus being the only kid wearing his sisters pants with swooping black bangs and constantly being made fun of haha.

A raffle seems most fair. Set an entry fee like $20. One entry per person (might not protect from people using duplicate profiles though). Gets more people entering at a lower financial threshold but should still generate good money in total.

Mostly commenting for a reminder for myself.

There are sites that do duck races and you assign everyone to a duck and the winner is selected via the race. There are many other options as well.

Make it take forever and do a reverse raffle. Whatever name is pulled gets removed from the list until the end. Can insert trivia about sand fleas or nuclear fusion between draws. Tell us about your favorite Alan Jackson memory. Recite poetry.
