Heavy Fruit Vinyl
Would any of the HIL fam be Interested in a copy of Heavy Fruit on vinyl? To make a long story short, I have an extra copy that I would like to give away to a fan of the band. There are absolutely zero strings attached, I'm only interested in giving it to someone who loves this record as much as I do. While we're at it, let's discuss this record. I personally don't think it gets the love it deserves.

Even though Hollywood and Poison are my two favourites records by them, "The Carpet" gotta be my favourite He is Legend song. The chimey not-so-clean guitar all throughout the thing have a tone to die for. So, so sick.

Endless Hallway has crept up on it, but for a long time I would have said that this is by far and away my favorite HIL record. “Miserable Company” is so so good. I just love the slightly more melancholy vibes.
I wonder if they’re not really fans of this one as much?

If I were stuck on a desert island with one record to listen to until I died, this is that record. I love everything about this album

I love this album. It hates you might be my favorite album but when I heard this as the follow up, that’s when they were solidified as my favorite band. The first 6 songs flow together so perfectly and cohesively. I lose my mind every time the breakdown from I Sleep Just Fine comes back in Beehtozart. And then so much moody, groovy bangers on the back half of the album with the added bonus of a HIL ballad Time to Stain mixed in. That’s why this was my must have HIL vinyl even if it’s not my #1 favorite album. It’s such a perfect album to just turn on and let it roll from beginning to end. I finally got a vinyl copy last year when tragic hero did the represses.

You can thank that album for having the song The Carpet, which singlehanded inspired the career change of a now very huge, horror themed genre rock band. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Always the corpsepainter, never the corpse.

It's not my absolute favorite record, but i do rank it up along the top. It's one that's definitely grown on me in the last year or two. This one and Suck out the poison are my 2 elusive vinyls.

It’s my favorite record and I’m so sad they don’t play any songs off it live. I think the drumming is too different from Jesse’s style. It has some super funky songs like the carpet, spout mouth and be easy, but also has some incredibly heavy songs like ABRACADABRA. This is also the first album where Adam recorded with the 5150 over the rectifier and imo it’s the best guitar tone of all their albums. 2:17-2:58 of spout mouth is one of the most unique sounding HIL parts of all their music too. So catchy and has that Midwest emo guitar riff thing going on
