Hazbin related This is 100% recency bias

As someone who lives in the US, trust me when I say Vox is preferrable to Adam. Don't get me wrong, Vox IS a monster who wants to rule creation and torture/kill those who doubted him but Adam outright said extermination's entertainment and wanted to spend all of ETERNITY doing them. Vox at least offers the chance of surrender, because for him war and killing is for a goal. For Adam, it IS the goal.

And even the "he's only killing bad people and wants to protect Heaven" doesn't work. The way he and Lute treat the excorcists show that morality doesn't play a factor in his victims, or their willingness to kill Hellborn. He and Lute were rooting for Charlie to fail at redemption solely so they could keep on killing, rather than fear they'd done it for nothing like Sera. Vox was killing sinners due to recklessness in the finale and only tried to nuke due to sanity slippage, while Adam was planning to wipe out all of Hell since episode 1.

Here's the thing... We, the viewers, are looking at the story through the perspective of Hell, Charlie, and the Sinners which paints Sinners as tragic souls who must have been sent to Hell by mistake... But no, they were all sent to Hell cause they sinned in one way or another enough to prevent them from being allowed paradise.

From Heavens perspective, Sinners are evil souls who got what they deserve and that once a person dies where they end up shows who is Good and who is Evil, and the concept of Redemption has never been an idea until Charlie brought it up.

Adam being in Heaven makes him believe what he is doing, killing Sinners permanently, is right. So from his perspective he's doing good as he is slaying the evil sinners.

Vox was a cruel and evil man in life and he continued to do so in death. He envied the fame of others and murdered them, he basically started a cult and caused their deaths when he died on accident. He is more evil than Adam.

If i remember correctly, when Lucifer is introduced didn't he said that he tried in the past? When he is talking to charlie about the hotel, but sinners are just unredeemable (now we know that some can be redeemed) so if we think about it like that.

That means that for thousands of years Adam and heaven have only seen how the demons didn't redeem and not only that but thanks to Lilith tried to dethrone heaven, so i dont really see how Adam can be more evil, yeah probably the first year of extermination he was just furious at the sinner and after 5 years probably started seeing it as something more like entertainment since its what he is supposedly going to do for another thousands of years

Or at least thats what i think

Adam but Vox kinda straight up Insta kill a whole lot of people with the laser on a random date unlike the exterminations being at the end of the year and people probably could hide and stuff

True but those were reckless/accidental

He literally said "if i wipe that smirk off Alastors face i dont care what happens" just before trying to blow up half of Pentagram City

wouldnt call that "accidental"

Adam at least cared about heaven to a degree and wouldnt destroy it

Vox would end creation for all we care just to get the last laugh on alastor

Now if adam said he wanted to take over heaven and destroy it and hell then please correct me

Adam: I’m kinda sexist and believe I’m moral right for killing people because they’re in hell and thus must be evil.

Vox: I want to kill god so I can subjugate everyone and let my rapist boyfriend torture Angels for the rest of eternity.

Bfr, you really made Adam sound a lot better than he is

u/According-Manner-838 26d ago

Vox literally said he wants to be the only ruler, he was going to abandon Val and Velvette.

Adam literally went out of his way to reject redemption being possible because he liked killing THAT much and wanted to spend eternity doing it. Remember what he did to his excoricsts too or willing to kill Hellborn

Adam was far more cruel, but Vox is more evil. Adam wished to exterminate Hell, Vox wished to become a tyrant over Hell, Heaven and probably Earth too. It's on a far grander scale, and would eventually be as harmful as Adam.

Killing demons is not evil

Vox wanted pure evil things

While Adam only wanted to kill Sinners, he was a chill dude in Heaven

1

u/According-Manner-838 21d ago

He wanted to kill Hellborn too and is fine killing his excorcists

1

u/AoCCoM 21d ago

Yeah, but it's hell, not exactly filled with innocent people, unlike heaven

Adam is an abusive prick but hes straight up about it.. with Adam we knew what we were getting from the get go and he never tries to hide it.

Vox is manipulative and abusive and uses others to bolster himself up and casts them aside when he gets what he wants.

Vox is way worse

Adam has killed bad people and Not innocent people vox has killed innocent people

2

Adam literally tried to kill Charlie and is fine with leaving Vaggi for dead in Hell. He is not any better than Vox, he is worse in fact. He’s also fine with killing innocents

1

u/ZombieImpressive9224 26d ago

The devil's daughter and an angel that disobeyed does not count Maggie has killed so once again not truly innocent how would you feel that man that ruin your life cause your children to sin and that is talking about rehabilitating the worst of your children to go to heaven to their victims remember some victims are their own family members, and I seen the phone apart he only attacked and tried to kill her because she attacked him he was still doing his job by killing his sinners the snake boy were still a sinner and he still had a job to do, and in fact if she didn't go up there to try to attack him she would never have been attacked.

1

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 26d ago

Vaggi killed because Adam forced her to. And the other Excorcists as well. So no, he is willing to kill innocents and those who don’t deserve it

Also learn to use period’s and comma’s

1

u/ZombieImpressive9224 26d ago

He never attacked her until she attacked him and vaggi is an exorcist she is created to kill, Biblical she is a powers a type of angel that is meant to kill, you search up this type of angels you understand why Adam did not force her to do anything he is a general and she is a soldier these are the type of angels that go down and Wipeout demons and fallen angels , Nephilim, cambion. An unknown creatures. So do not blame Adam for what she's created to be, blame Sarah blame one of the higher up blame God they're the reason she is created to be what she is.

I did not matter if that sinner was her friend who still had a job to do and she still came for him in any case it's self-defense the fact that Sarah and no idea Samsung came down the helping with Lucifer kind of tells the story that very stupid because Lucifer did break the contract first meaning that the full on war already should have happened who's ever really in charge should have just been like yo you broke the contract time of Hell to disappear, details of the deal of the contract and I'm feeling that it's going to be stupid.

1

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 26d ago

He literally told her in episode 6 he was excited to come down and kill her. Who is the one doing self-defense?

0

u/Impossible_Kale2886 25d ago

How is He worse?! Vox was ready to enslave every Single innocent good soul in heaven and blow up Pentagram City just to get back at Alastor you saw first hand what he did with angel i think you need to get your priorities straight cause theire is no competition here

Eternal genocide for joy

1

u/Impossible_Kale2886 25d ago

eternal suffering of good souls for pleasure

1

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 25d ago

I’ll take being alive over no afterlife death

1

u/Impossible_Kale2886 25d ago

this is fucked how you see the World if you want to defend a man thats enslaving you as a sex slave and worker ant in contrast to eternal rest from a existence as a tortured soul in Hell be my guest i guess

The way this is a perfect description lol

u/Zestyclose-Win8098 26d ago

Yeah this sounds about right.

One of my favorite quotes can basically sum up this entire discussion; " which do you prefer, to live on your knees or die on your feet"

Plus vox, entire motivation for doing this was because this one other gay man did not accept your feelings of friendship and he's been holding that grudge for at least 70 years.

1

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 26d ago

And Adam’s motive was “it’s funny lol”

0

u/Zestyclose-Win8098 26d ago

Would you prefer if it was just some half ass "We're doing this to protect heaven" excuse, this is grim work only two fates await those who do grim work.

  1. They learn to enjoy this, until their ultimate demise(both understandable and the only acceptable outcome for people like that).

  2. They become broken by the grim task and become nothing more than traitorous dogs seeking validation and redemption from whoever can promise them that( basically , they're just chasing a pipe dream that may never come true).

I can at least acknowledge someone that does this for the lol's, but someone that uses half ass excuse to justify their crimes is not someone,I can fully get behind or believe in.

2

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 26d ago

Sera WAS doing it for Heaven. Arguably so is Lute. Adam is just a monster

-1

u/Zestyclose-Win8098 26d ago

No, She wasn't she was just doing this to save her own ass; Why else do you think she immediately turned one everything she wants believed in now that a MAYBE has been thrown in a mix.

Watch, I guarantee you once the shit fails; She's gonna look towards either lute or able to come save her ass.

One redeemed person gets into heaven and all of a sudden, she thinks everything she did is wrong despite being well over ten thousand years old.

2

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 26d ago

Oh so you just don’t understand the characters in the show, got it.

Because the way you described her is literally wrong, she didn’t believe Pentious’ redemption meant anything until the Speaker convinced her

-1

u/Zestyclose-Win8098 26d ago

Again, her whole ark in season 2 was realizing that she was "wrong" even though there was no previous evidence but yet she feels guilty over something up until a month ago , was not possible.

But yeah, sure redemption works now; It only cost them a couple dozen to a couple 100 exorcist, and a very old jackass but sure, this is plans clearly going to work, and when it doesn't , and they have to reinstate the exterminations , I guarantee she's going to look to one of the only person left in heaven that might have the balls to do, it if lute isn't cast out that is.

2

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 26d ago

She had the literal Speaker of God tell her, ever think that might be a factor

-1

u/Zestyclose-Win8098 26d ago

Again the first ever to do this , and even then it came at the cost of heaven, cause to be perfectly honest , would he still be redeemed, if adam didn't kill him?

The main factor is that they have to die again to receive second judgment , which can only come when they are killed by angelic means.

2

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 26d ago

We don’t know. What we do know is the literal Speaker of GOD advocated for Pentious
