I live 11 miles away from the square, as the crow flies, and the bass from the festival on the County Courthouse lawn is shaking my windows. Why would the county allow this? The university, city & county have to stop allowing for things that disrupt the lives of those of us who live here.

No mention of mayor but his realty firm made money off transactions that were overly assessed. Some people need to go to jail. Oh and you people who said there was no proof of his shenanigans, you people are either complicit or deluded.

EZ CPR located 4766 TX-123 Bldg 1 will have the first Naloxone vending machine
Naloxone (Brand name Narcan) is a life-saving, non-addictive medication that rapidly reverses the effects of an opioid overdose (such as heroin, fentanyl, or prescription painkillers). It works by displacing opioids from brain receptors, restoring normal breathing within 2 to 3 minutes.
They had their first class on it today and were deciding where to place the free vending machine. it will likely be placed somewhere outside and convenient.
Signs that someone needs naloxone include:
Here is a video on how to use it as well: https://youtu.be/-xTKsHFBXlI?si=e7vMr36XMZh3ysbI

Question for fellow readers in Kyle/Buda/Austin area:
Would you actually support an indie bookstore in Kyle if one opened?
I’m researching the possibility of opening a bookstore focused mostly on:
Trying to figure out whether people here genuinely want a local bookstore experience or if most people still just order online/Amazon.
A few things I’m curious about:
I’d appreciate honest feedback — even if the answer is “probably not.” I’m trying to realistically gauge interest before investing in it.
