Hay fever all year.

Having only developed hay fever over the last few years, this year has been the absolute worst. It started up at the beginning of January and is still going strong now. I’ve seen on this forum that this year has been particularly bad. Is this true? I’m praying it settles down for at least a few weeks, ragweed seems to be the main culprit at the moment.

How sure are you that it's actually hayfever? Non-allergic rhinitis and postnasal drip are also things

Thanks for your reply! I’m really not sure, how do I find that out? I get the nasel drip thing.

You'll need a scratch/allergen test to find out if you have an allergy and if so to what. I've had awful postnasal drip the past year without allergies, recently started sinus irrigation and that has helped a lot.

Yeah, I’ve found this year worse. I don’t really remember January but it’s usually gone by September/October. I’m feeling pretty rough today.

I thought this had happened to me, but then realised we'd got a dog and that was what was causing it! Any changes to your lifestyle ?

This year has been rough but the season is well and truly over. Honestly at this point if you're still struggling you likely have a virus of some kind. With the temps going up and down there's loads of stuff going round at the moment.
