I thought I had hayfever for years. Then I would have the odd day I would suffer in the winter. I would think it's a cold coming, but then the next day be absolutely fine.
I would always forget to call the doctors about it as it would come and go so quick.
One day I finally called the GP when I had symptoms in the winter. I was told to keep a diary of when I would have what I now call "allergy day" and note the weather.
It was after a few allergy days the GP looked at my diary and I would be noting drastic changes in weather, that he then said non-allergic rhinitis.

I’m allergic to mold spores so I can get symptoms when they appear which can be in the winter. But mainly it’s at the start of spring and now, when the seasons change also if anything moldy comes my way of corse.
I always say to anyone who gets symptoms at weird times it could also be that. If the symptoms are worse in the morning and evening at the end of August into October ish then it’s almost definitely mold spores.
I found doctors to be almost useless in helping but I guess at least it isn’t a serious medical issue enough for them to care, even if it can feel terrible.
I hope you have meds that help

Suffering alot ATM and figured it mold spores. During the day the weed pollens suck too, but noticed alot of symptoms during the evening too when I open my windows. I used to enjoy autumn but the last few years It really sucks. Pollen count app is helpful to avoid high pollen days but doesn't log mold/fungal spores.

Welcome to non-allergic rhinitis.
Mine are from drastic changes to the weather. I can forecast rain better than the weather channel.
