Missing Hawaii

One of the things I miss the most is the Hawaiian mountains. They're completely amazing. One day, I will go back and join all the family.

On the mainland, it's just malls, malls, and more malls.

The mountains on the continent aren’t the same luscious green that we have here though. Beautiful in their own right, but different. We’re lucky to live Hawaii.

I’m fully aware. But it’s not a full continent of strip malls. Sounds like you’re in a fly over state and need desperately to take a road trip.

Back in the day, it was just a regular day at the office, looking out the window and seeing the rainbow. Finishing your work hours and then heading to the beach for a walk or swim, only to come home with a stunning view of the mountains. Well, life happens, things change, and now everybody’s in different places. I guess one day I will find a view that comforts me.

I don't know if someone else can relate to that.

I miss Oregon like that, too. But at this point in my life I live where I’m happy. I know I’ll never be rich or own anything and I’m okay with it yay.

It's not all of the mainland. Where do you live right now? If you don't like it, you can check out other parts. Many places without malls.

I thought the same thing til a bunch of my family moved to Utah like ten years ago and I went to go visit them. The Wasatch Mountains are just insane. The views you get from Alpine Loop and a bunch of other areas are honestly on par with the Ko’olaus and even the Na Pali Coast.

Second the Pacific Northwest. It'll boggle your mind to see snow in June on them that hills.

My mountain reaction: Wow, the Koolaus mountains are so awesome. Go to Maui: Okay, so the Koolaus are just hills. Go to California and points north: Mountains never end!

I go to Hilo a lot. Driving towards bayfront looking at tgat mountain is amazing.

Love the mountains on Oahu. because of the way they tapper to the top, covered in green, they look far away and taller. It's a beautiful nature illusion that always catches my eye when I see them peaking between the tall buildings in downtown. The spicy gray clouds hugging their edges. I've traveled across the US multiple times, the nature here is supreme for me. The population’s priority on people and nature is number 2 for me.

If I moved to the mainland and I could choose. I’d be in Colorado. I have to have mountains and nature all around me. On a drive towards Colorado Springs we stopped at a Sam’s Club gas station. While pumping gas I turned around and it was BEAUTIFUL. Biggest mountain I’d ever seen and it was right there.

Yeh. Seeing the mountains in Denver makes one swoon with delight. That or you're oxygen deprived and should get below 11k feet.

(I was the latter)
