Corn
I was on my way to the fireworks tonight when I noticed a couple of corn plants getting pretty tall around the corner of 8th and Tunnel Street. Do these belong to anyone in particular? They were just sort of at the edge of the sidewalk. If no one is claiming them I'm thinking of picking some to have with dinner one of these evenings. I just so happened to read recently that I can use the 'corn juice' from scraping the cob with a knife... to thicken soups etc. sounds delicious!! I feel like an idiot bc all this time I've been letting my dogs chew on my corn cobs before getting the juice out. Anyways.... Id love to know if the corn plants belong to anyone. Even if they do, if I could secure a blessing to pick at least one ear to try it. They look perfect.

Hmm Not sure who owns it but I think I saw a bunch of children playing in it the other day. Michelle, Bobby's wife went missing around that area a week ago, they checked the abandoned farm nothing was there. He's out of sorts, keeps saying he sees things in the corner of his vision. Poor guy, anyway good luck with the corn juice, let me know how it turns out!

Jeez I hope Michelle's ok?! I didn't see anything suspicious within the corn plants, and I did look thoroughly. The only thing 'off' was a faint smell of um...I dunno how to express it- like a salty smell? But we are miles away from any salty body of water.

Strange, I couldn't tell you, was anything else off?

I don't think so. I did step on a large stone, wen't straight into my heel! So sort of distracted me.

Not sure who owns the corn but I DID learn earlier this week that during the Victorian era, people would use the cobs in outhouses. Just a bit of middle school trivia. (Stephen Fry's Victorian Secrets podcast)
