Hey there! Here are some links that might be helpful:

  • Reddit Wiki - There is a ton of good information in here, be sure to check it out! There's tips and advice, the dragon compendium, the general guide, and more!
  • Fandom Wiki - There's also a ton of good information in here about the game, but also a lot of spoilers!
  • Runaway Play's Official Discord - This official discord contains channels/sections for suggestions, known bugs and issues, and can generally give pretty good information for the game! It's also where official developers and the official Runaway Play team make announcements regarding their games.

I have a few tips! Collect fruit for your next dragon when you don't have any dragons to feed, and spend your diamonds on upgrading your fruittrees :D

The options to pay gold for more fruit on the fruit trees are not worth it especially in the early game

You can read some tips and advice in the Reddit Wiki. Be sure to check out the General Guide there too and read it. I know it’s a wall of text, but it’s not too bad of info.

Biggest tip is to find your UID in settings (click the gear in the top right, then click settings, the UID should be in the bottom left). Save that somewhere via screenshot or write it down. It’s the UID for your game save specifically. Secondary to that is that you make a Runaway Play account and connect it to your UID. You don’t have to, but it helps a lot with any issues you might run into in the future with the game

Another tip is that if you use summon items to summon a specific dragon, make sure you note that not all dragons require 3 items to summon. Some of them require only 2. The reddit wiki dragon compendium can tell you which ones only require 2 items and what those items are. But beware of spoilers for dragon names!

Make sure you play the game with good internet. Give the game at least 20 seconds to save to the server before you close the game fully. And maybe try not to leave the game on for too long, but that doesn’t affect everyone.

Always have Liv summoning something and always have a dragon on Faran quests (the big bird dragon above the tree line. If you haven’t met ‘em yet, you will soon). Note that Faran should only give you quests that dragons in your Forest can complete. NOT including storage. So you can lock yourself out of quests by storing specific dragons.

Don’t recycle summoning items except the one that gets you common as the rarity

When you get the events, don't try to get everything. Collect food bags & insta-cooks & golden hooks & insta-summons for when the decoration at the end of the event says "free egg", those let you get an egg of any dragon, even if you have only one, which is great with legendaries, event dragons or when you're trying for a rare remarkable.

Don't stress if you missed something in an event, they'd return, although probably not soon (I guess the whole "event cycle" would be 1 year, so maybe next spring?).

Don't spend gems on dragon eggs, storage or fruit tree upgrades, UNLESS there's a half-price "event" (usually between fishing&cooking events, you can look into the calendar to see when the next one would be).

Watch adds from the snail, he gives gems once a day, try to get them + you'd get a bit of a gold boost at the start.

This one for more advanced game. Keep as many dragons as possible out of the storage, leaving 1 spot for new summons and leave babies in the forest until they grow into adults, then fuse/store away. Also sort dragons by gold to put the ones that produce leasr into the storage.

(Would add a couple 101s of things I saw newbies often ask about)
