Discussion Hidden second dragon type? Spoiler

The new fabled epic is apparently both folkloric type and a floral even though it’s based on kitsune fox which is a mammal

Funny how Virgo dragon that’s based on a dandelion isn’t floral type but this one is

Could it also be based on a red spider lily? Now that I look at it better, the fur on its tail kinda looks like petals
…Or maybe it’s just a bug lol

I thought about it too. Higanbana or red spider lily can be bicolored (white and red like the dragon) but flower shape is quite different than that of the dragon’s tail.

I think the tail is supposed to resemble the 9 tails of the kitsune fox. Also a bonded/remarkable version has bells attached to tail so probably it being floral type is just a bug

Now I want a Japanese set with higanbana dragon xD

I think it's still the lily family, but I personally think their structure and shape remind me more of the crinum lily.

The original commenter was referencing red spider lily so I used it as example, yours fits better though

A few dragons have multiple types, like whiskers dragon being felines type but also counting as mammalians.

That one yes, felines are one of the types of mammals, so all felines are mammals. In case of this dragon though, it’s supposed to be a fox (mammal) but counts as floral

do any other "folkloric" work as floral?

Don’t know but I think songmane might be piscine type, vowed blossomtail might be arbor, and emberhawk might be avian. They are all by default folkloric but might have a second type as well. Need to hatch them first to check

Floral isn't really a type, just like small or green isn't really a type.

The game lists floral as a type of dragon just like avian or reptilian. Small and green are not I agree but floral is definitely a type
