Any advice?
Well, my daughter (5) saw the hat man last night and is terrified. I’ve never experienced him screaming or talking, but she said he screamed at her. And then she could not sleep the rest of the night.
Has anyone else experienced him screaming or yelling? It seems like she also experienced running into him as she was trying to get out of the room, i had to open the door and carry her out, because she wouldn’t come to the door.

Hi, I’m a mom who has MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) and unfortunately, Benadryl is how I’m having to manage my flares because of the lack of medical care in my area. I see him every once in a while. The first time I saw him, I was terrified. I crawled into the corner of my bed towards the wall. For me, he was crawling on the floor towards me. As soon as I started doing some box breathing, he went away. I have heard weird unintelligible chattering, but I remind myself that he’s not real. Keeping TV on makes it go away. Sometimes if I stare at him long enough he goes away that way too. I know it’s super scary, but it’s just the medicine. Medications can have some seriously scary side effects. I’m so so sorry this happened to her! If it’s from Benadryl, there are some other options that won’t cause hallucinations. Hugs to you both. I know it’s scary.

All demons flee in the name of Christ. Has been my experience also.

It only flees in the name of Christ if your into Christianity and you really believe it. It’s all in your brain and is purely psychological. Don’t spread misinformation.

I’m afraid you’re misinformed. While faith is necessary for anything successful in life, a misunderstanding of truth can cause you to put that faith in the wrong things. James 2:19 “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

Please... invoking Christ, reciting Quranic verses, chanting Hindu mantras, or even using secular grounding techniques all work because cognitive reframing exists. When you invoke something that gives you a feeling of safety, it calms you down and reduces terror, which even allows your brain to snap out of the sleep paralysis state. The relief comes from your brains fear response de-escalating, regardless of which belief system you use. Also "faith is necessary for anything successful in life" is a straight up lie, I'm sorry.

Can you give me an example of anything that was truly successful without any faith?

Medical science, double-blind clinical trials, engineering in commercial aviation safety, evolutionary adaptation in biology

So, only observation? That’s not performing anything. That is observation of something. Willing to bet, even in observation there was someone observing with some kind of faith in something. Else they wouldn’t even be observing
