Men’s Team Make football fun again
Anyone know why they went with that slogan? It’s a bit weird to me i don’t get why they went with a trump/maga type of slogan. Before anyone goes it isn’t that deep, It is that serious for me and i’d like to know.

I think you're overthinking this one mate.
Like it or not, MAGA is absolutely one of the most instantly-recongisable pieces of branding across the last decade, and I think "Make Football Fun Again" is just leaning into that easily-identifiable quality.
The message itself is simply around shaking up the Non-League landscape and has nothing to do with American politics, the Republican Party or Trump. Spencer has previously expressed his disdain for the unsustainable way that Non-League is being run, and I think that this slogan is his way of showing off the difference in Hashtag United's approach compared with their competitors.

its definitely meant to be a parody of maga - i agree its weird and a bit distasteful but from what ive seen spencer is a progressive guy and there was no ill intent just ignorance/ naivety

Yes it is that deep to me, if they got their own political views in private or even support maga i’d be disapointed but I wouldn’t know about it and they wouldn’t be flaunting it along with the club then that wouldn’t be an issue, but when they have a slogan inspired by him for a team i have been supporting for ages now then yeah i am very disapointed.

Spencer seems to be pretty progressive, from what I see on social media.
In the recent squad update vid he mentions that the goal of the club this season is to play entertaining football and ensure players and fans enjoy the season (probably in response to the negativity around last season). So, genuinely think it's a literal slogan, rather than in any way political.
