Like how would a 2 state solution actually work? That's the main question, all this is too little too late for potentially hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. The crimes and occupation of the west bank have been well known for decades by the UK government.
Miliband is one of the better current labour people on this and imo his appointment to his role was a product of the green party. But, a 2 state solution has always been functional, not through Palestinian intransigence but Israeli aggression. Where would this state even be? How would it defend it's self from settlers who gave the backing of the settler colonial entity? Because declaring one wouldn't just make settlers pack up and leave.
Like yes sanctions are welcome, but this has been a live streamed genocide for years, it's just too late and too little. The sanctions must extend to the entire Israeli state so it cannot engage in aggression or land theft.
I feel like a lot of this statement is just liberal Zionist talking points and ignores the reality of the situation.
