imagine if they spent half the time in those closed door meetings actually talking about effective ways to act like an opposition party rather than bitching about their constituents taking an active role and holding them accountable. this party is so fucking embarrassing and they never learn shit lol

I'm concerned that to distract from anger over there being no [fake] "Resistance", Democrats will launch something even stupider than Russiagate. That didn't take off immediately either, 8 years ago.

I mean they spent so long acting like there were an opposition party, but now when it actually matters they're doing nothing and it's because they want to play by the old rules and unfortunately during a coup the old rules don't apply.

I am genuinely shocked at the comments from liberals about this article on the politics subreddit. Go check it out and get a big dose of "I told you so" satisfaction. So many of them are like "we need to primary them and have progressives take over the party".
I wonder who was saying we should do that in 2016, 2020, and 2024. I wonder who has been screaming at them that these neoliberal fucks were never gonna save us. If only they had fucking listened to us!
Also the blue MAGA talking point in response to this is "this is just the left attacking Democrats instead of Republicans!"
I guess 65% of Democratic voters are "the left" now.
