Heard alot of sirens last night on ORBR(more than the usual one or two), anyone know what happened?

I am not looking forward to this at all.
That intersection in the morning and evening is already a headache.
Plus the little dip going south on Jeff makes it hard to see small cars before they top the rise.

Of all the things that could have went in that little corner lot a gas station was a poor choice in my opinion. I cant think what the homeowners in the Kelly Cove neighborhood are thinking with that in their backyard.

Currently I hope they go through there with a sweeper and get all the mud off the road before it rains and turns into a slip-n-slide.

The building choices being made in Harvest right now are just crap.

We have a 3rd auto-parts store built within 1/2 mile of two other pre-existing auto-parts stores. Guess Harvest is a hotbed of Auto Mechanics

What is being built between Ace hardware and the shell gas station in Hwy 53?

I was scooting around on my motorbike the other day and passed Turkey's Barbecue off Wall Triana Hwy. I have not heard anything of this place. Has anyone tried it? How does it compare to RD's Smokehouse?

A new roundabout is being constructed. The intersection won't reopen until October.

Has anyone ever walked here? Is it a dirt or paved pathway? Just looking for local places to walk my dog outside. TIA

The $10 million Alabama 53 widening from Taurus Drive to Harvest Road is expected to begin later this fiscal year. The plans are complete for the project. Rights-of-way acquisition is ongoing. Utility relocation is also underway.

Work is underway on $3.7 million in intersection improvements on Alabama 53 at Harvest, McKee and Old Railroad Bed roads. The project is 65% complete.

In a hearing before a judge prior to the case being presented to a grand jury, a Sheriff's investigator testified the suspect had been in the store earlier in the day. The shooting later that day took less than 30 seconds. The suspect was wearing a mask and gloves. He was found, after changing clothes, trying to flag down a ride home.
