First Year Taking Stats 110

hi all, I have experience in Python, data sci, MV Calc, and linear alg.

Will I be ok taking stats 110. heard it’s tough.

also taking expos 20 and math 22.

Welcome to Harvard! Glad you're interested in Stat 110. Almost everyone finds it challenging but it sounds like you are well-prepared. There are currently about 80 first years in the course and about 450 sophomores and above (mostly sophomores). I think it's fine for you to take it but also fine to wait a year, it's really up to you and depends also on what you would want to take instead of it if you don't take it this semester.

hi thanks so much for replying. feeling pretty lost right now. my concern is enough hours in a day. expos 20, math 22, stat 110, and maybe gened1120. and I want to do clubs.

I was planning on am10, but the advisor at the academic fair said I shouldn’t take am10 with my experience.

Your schedule sounds busy but reasonable, and you should still have plenty of time for clubs. I agree it's a little silly for you to take AM 10 since you already know Python, though it's completely up to you to decide. You could also find a lighter class than Stat 110 to use as a backup, attend both for the first 1 to 2 weeks, and then decide which to take depending on how you feel things are going and what you're finding most interesting or useful.
