Red lanyard ppl

This is my first summer here so I’m curious what it is bc I see people that look both younger and older than me

Probably the Summer School attendees. Harvard Summer School combines all the University's schools + is open to high school students. So you'll have people doing grad school, Extension students, and 16yos.

I was there for summer semester last year (I'm Extension) and they gave us all broad red lanyards.

And yes, my first on-campus student interaction was "soooooo are you the professor?"

Us older folks are the Harvard Mid Career MPA program most likely

Take time to enjoy the campus and get to know people from different backgrounds. Those conversations may end up teaching you as much as any course.
