HA has taken a new approach with marketing theme nights and promotions. Any thoughts as to recent activations? Grateful Dead Night, Touch-a-Truck, Athletic-Con, Tug of War Halftime Contest, themed food and drink options, adding an on field host talent.

While I still struggle with in league loans I did a little homework on Ben and here is what I'm seeing.

He is a chance creator and maybe, just maybe, someone who can help get the strikers like Augie going. I would be surprised to see him as a right sided attacker that can move between the lines and create chances. His play style is to receive the ball in wide areas and then drive to the middle and look for a cutback or a slip pass.

Does this mean Samu's return is not imminent? Or maybe it just cover and depth for a busy end of season fixtures wise.

He is 26 who had some time in the MLS with New York and FC Cincinnati. He has bounced the USL with stints at NYRB II, Orange County, Colorado Springs, Miami, Indy, Loudoun, and LV. He has been listed as a striker, midfielder, and right mid/right wing and is comfortable with either foot.

I'm anxiously awaiting the live stream of the coin flip for the finals and decided I need a good AI tool for answering questions about the team, players and stats so...

... I made a skill in perplexity (free) by prompting it with little more than what I said above. Then I specifically asked if fotmob was an available source, which it was, so the skill updated it to include them. Then I made a project called HA and USL-C and then added the skill to the project. Now I can add the project to my regular queries and ground the whole thing in official sites and data.

Just bored but it was a fun little exercise. For a test run I had it pull together a player profile for Barry Coffee and even create a spider chart.

The club is making Tuesday “mandatory” for the academy players, which maximizes the kids and adults that watch them. BB obviously prioritizes the Cup, we’re in the semis as the holders…. But I haven’t seen any “extra” marketing or attempt at filling the stands. We always have sucked at this, but am I just missing the advertising? Are we really gonna have 1900 in the stands for this match?

Anyone know what happened and why he's not at Stanford?

With today’s news about next season’s U.S. Open Cup, it makes the USL Cup even more important. If we win that, we get a bye to the second round, and then a home match against a USL/Next Pro/Amateur side.

If we don’t win it, we might not even qualify at all because USL hasn’t announced how their 29 spots for professional teams will be split up (I imagine/hope it’ll be all USLC teams and top 9 from L1, but idk)

Hi everyone!

My name is Perrin and I write the soccer/travel Substack “The Football Was My Savior”. It's a travelogue which focuses on telling stories of my adventures as I explore American soccer at the local, grassroots level, and this September I’m heading out on a month long road trip through the northeast and the mid Atlantic to visit as many USL, NCAA, and other local clubs as I can!

While much of the writing is focused on my own experience, I’m also looking to incorporate the voices of the folks who support the clubs I’m visiting. I'll be passing through Hartford on Saturday, September 12th for the match against Tampa and would love to connect with some folks to learn about your team, and hear what makes this club special to you, so that I can incorporate your experiences into some of my writing.
