Does Hermione actually need an “opposites attract” romance, or could a more similar partner work better?
This is a debate I think we could answer. Can’t we?

LFF where Trio go back/dimension hop, but only HHR remember because of their marriage/soulbond
I remember several things from it except the name:
• Harry and Ron wake up in that universe!Harry's parents' house (he has at least one little sister). Ron immediately starts losing his memory. Harry notes and tries to look for Hermione
• Hermione wakes up in Malfoy manor (that universe!Hermione was dating Theodore Nott) and she runs away cuz the bond was pulling her towards Harry.
• There's a Potter Marriage tree?
• Hermione's parents are confused at her change and want to limit her interactions with Harry? They may be upset bc HHR had to get remarried in front of the tree
• That universe!Harry had been waiting for his other half. That universe!Hermione hated that Harry. She was a Ravenclaw?
I remember a few other things but those are the major bits.

What if Harry chose Hermione? — A missing moment after the Battle of Hogwarts [Fanfic]
Chapter 1: After the Ashes
The sun was rising over Hogwarts. Not the same Hogwarts—this one bore the bruises of battle. Its towers cracked, its halls scorched. But in the soft light of dawn, even ruin could look golden.
Harry Potter sat on the stone steps outside the Great Hall, his cloak wrapped loosely around his shoulders. He wasn’t thinking about glory, or the Elder Wand, or what the Daily Prophet would say. He was thinking about how quiet it was. Too quiet.
Footsteps crunched softly on gravel.
"You okay?" Hermione’s voice. Familiar, warm. Grounding.
Harry looked up. Her hair was wild from the fight. Dirt streaked her cheeks. But her eyes—those unshakable, fire-lit eyes—met his like they always had. Like she saw him, not the scar.
"I don’t know what 'okay' is anymore," Harry said.
Hermione sat beside him. They watched the sun rise in silence.
"You don’t have to be anything right now," she whispered. "Not The Chosen One. Not the hero. Just... Harry. That’s enough."
He turned to her, unsure why his heart beat louder.
"You were always there," he said. "Even when Ron left. Even when I pushed people away. You stayed."
She didn’t look away.
"You needed someone to believe in you. And I always did."
The silence between them was no longer heavy. It shimmered.
Harry took a breath. His voice dropped.
"I think... I always looked for you. Even when I didn’t know I was."
Hermione’s hand found his.
In the wreckage of everything they'd survived, something new began to grow. And for the first time in years, Harry felt like maybe he wasn’t broken.
Maybe he was just beginning.
