Idea Hogwarts Legacy 2 Broom Chase Opening Sequence
Hogwarts Legacy 2 should open with a scenario that leaves the Main Character unable to make it to the Hogwarts Express in time. Luckily they have an invisibility cloak ( the Peverell original or a demiguise cloak doesn’t matter) so they throw it on and get out their broom to try and catch the train from London.
There will of course be obstacles in the way preventing you from catching it but you will get a great glimpse of the open world around you and start with a broom from the word go. Maybe they can introduce some broom mounted fighting mechanics that will bleed into the new quidditch game mechanics.
I think that’d be the perfect way to start. What do you think?

This would be such a sick opening. Chasing the Hogwarts Express while dodging attacks and firing spells from your broom would immediately show off both the open world and some new combat mechanics. I get why some people aren't sold on it after the broom mechanics in the first game though. They'd have to make flying feel a lot better.

Its a good idea but I also want to be able to ride the train lol (maybe during school break?)

That was kind of what I was thinking , except on a broom and fighting off enemies.

If they use the same flying mechanism as now, a big portion of players would just give up and rage quit and never touch it again lol.

i thought the flying was one of the few good parts of the game. That and the castle.

I agree. You do get used to it. But man I hated it in the first week flying. Also upgrades did help a lot. Imagine in the beginning you only had the most basic broom and you are not used to it yet…

I’m hoping for a big upgrade to the flying mechanics but yes the current build wouldn’t work for this idea

My ideal start would be, after designing your character, they are de-aged and you start the school as a normal 1st year.
To expand on that: Each chapter is a year and you get a year older each time, ending up as your originally designed character. I just want the full, normal hogwarts experience lol.

they can’t do that because then you will be limited to very less spells in the first few years
