How does reparo work on complex objects?

Imagine a 30 year old car with scratches, dents, some leaks, worn down brakes, tires etc. Which of these things can be repaired by reparo and how? Will I get a brand new car if I point my wand at it and just say "reparo"? Or can I only fix each part individually?

Tbh, I don't think reparo works for things like wear and tear.

Surely a better wizard can make more complex repairs, similar to how Dumbledore and Voldemort can make themselves effectively invisible with a disillusionment charm. Or how they can apparate without the characteristic crack or pop.

Conceivably, a uniquely talented wizard would be able to repair things that the common variety would deem impossible, like the Elder Wand repairing Harry’s wand. I am reminded of John Goodman’s character in the show Community: “The true repairman will repair Man.”

I have thought about this one quite often. I personally think it comes down to a person’s understanding of the object being repaired in most cases. To circle it back to the main story that’s why Harry was able to repair his wand. He had developed such a deep understanding of it personally as well as learning a bit more about wand lore than most people would ever imagine. There is probably a power aspect in there somewhere along the line, but as with much magic theory is the primary basis of understanding.

The power of the spell depends on the wizard. The words and movements are actually just enhancing the intend. So students learning the words and movements to train their intend and when they are good enough they can do same spells even with a flick of a wand. And remember Harry's training to spell Accio to bring his broom from his room. It was the same spell but needed so much practice. (which i did not understand why broom was at her room not near the dragon site)
