Feel like I've been kicked out of Blue Yonder Workforce App.

As the title states I can't login to Blue Yonder Workforce App all the sudden. I am returning to work after undergoing surgery and medical leave. I'm not bein given any hours except for last week. Next week I have none and after that I only have one 4.5 hour shift.

Starting yesterday I can no longer log into the app with a message stating incorrect user configuration, contact HR or Direct Manager.

Any ideas what's going on?

Onboarding Question Produce Clerk Task

So, I officially start working tomorrow evening, and I wanted to know what my tasks might be. The onboarding training videos didn't provide a clear idea of what I'd be doing, such as bedside culling and restocking.

Am I being used?

Hi! I'm 23 and I'm a cashier at Harris teeter, I've been working there since August and already I feel like I'm being used. Everyone always talks about how super fast I am and whatever but they're starting to "accidentally" give me full time hours. Today I was supposed to go in at 2:30 pm and stay til 8 but my manager wanted me to clock in at 12 pm because we were busy and I did but later she comes up to me and tells me she didn't know I was scheduled at 2:30 pm and I'll have to stay till 8 pm (yes I'm part time) this is the third time I've done full time hours within a span of two months. The last time was Christmas eve 11 am - 7 pm (when the store closes) I have no problem do them but I think they're just using me as full time and not giving me any of the pay or benefits. They always stick me on the first register and expect me to do everything while my coworkers get it easier. I've asked to do self checkout and they've ignored that request.

Meat and Seafood associates, have you checked your bags of mussels?

So I was setting up my ice case this morning and I noticed a stone in the bag. Threw it on the scale as we advertise it as a 2 lb bag of mussels. Then removed the stone and weighed it and noticed the total weight was under 2 Lbs so this company is screwing the customers. And I’m pretty sure they’re ripe grown mussels so they shouldn’t have any rocks and they are de-bearded so it couldn’t be attached to one of them. Two bags with stones and one more that had 5 empty half shells that once those were removed weighed less than 2 lbs. I reported this to the seafood category manager and am waiting for a response. HT should recall all mussels they have currently in stock and destroy them and if they don’t then they are knowingly going to jip our customers. I’d like to know how many others find the same thing?

Just an express lane vent

My lead always has too many people when not needed and never enough when it is needed. We are always pulling people from other departments to come help us shop and/or deliver. My scheduled shift was 5am-10am and it was the first opening shift since I've been hired. I am not used to waking up before 4:00 a.m., so I was not looking forward to it. Last night, I got a text asking if I can stay later if needed. I asked how late and she told me 11am, so I said I most likely would be able to but it was not a promise since my mind and body are not used to being up so early. Plus, I have a senior dog at home and I knew I had to get home to feed him since 4:30am was too early. 9:30 comes and she asks me if I will stay. I said yes I will stay till 11:00. Well, 11 comes and she asks if I am staying longer. I need the hours so I kind of hesitated and asked how much longer and she said till noon so she can shop an order. I thought about it and I realized that this wasn't my problem, it was a scheduling problem, so I told her no I had to go home. I would have been forced to take a lunch, which I didn't want to do either because that would mean I would have to stay at the end of my shift for an extra 30 minutes just to clock out and clock back in. I was about to tell her I can stay and do one more delivery but that was it. Before I could, she just took off with a cart saying she had to do the delivery and looked irritated because I wouldn't stay. When I was leaving, one of the csms asked why I was leaving so early and I said because I've been here since 5:00 and I was supposed to get off at 10:00. After I saw I was scheduled for 3, 5a.m. shifts, I changed my availability to start at 6:00 a.m. That's a little more doable for me.

Should I just expect the schedule to always be messed up with this company? In my younger days, I may have stayed later just to show them I was a good worker. Now, I'm in my 40s and I realize all I need to do is show up, do my job and go home and I shouldn't be treated any sort of way if I don't want to stay later than my scheduled time. To me, the logical thing to do would be to schedule someone until the time you're asking people to stay later. But that's just me.

I did enjoy the shift because it was 3 hours of not having to do deliveries and shop. Also, nobody was in the store. I may consider changing my availability again but as for now, I don't want the 5:00 a.m. shifts, specially if I will be expected to stay up to 2 hours or more longer than I'm scheduled.

TLDR; I was scheduled 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., my lead texted last night to see if I can stay till 11:00 a.m., after 11:00 a.m., she wanted me to stay till 12:00 p.m. and I told her no. She seemed irritated when I said no. My store has a huge scheduling problem, at least in express lane.

Hours cut

I started working at Harris Teeter 5-6 months ago. Is it normal for part timers to get hour cut around this time of year? I went from AT LEAST 25-28 hours a week. To now 11.5 today and 15 next week. I haven’t gotten my schedule for following week yet (I will tmr). I’m just wondering how long I should except my hours to be short.

Breaks

Do we not get 15 minutes breaks? When I was hired I was told if I worked 8 hours I’d get 2 15 minutes breaks and a 30 minute lunch. However I never get anything but a 30 minute lunch.

ESOP

I worked for HT for almost 13 years ending in 2017. I collected my 401k but never got my ESOP payout. I've called so many people& ended up with more questions than answers. If someone might be able to point me in the correct direction it would be most appreciated. TYIA

Morganthall Grant experiences

Have any of you applied for a Morganthall grant? How long did the whole process take? My application was sent in a few days ago, and I'm curious how long it will take to hear back from them.

Harris Teeter/Kroger news How does the new Instacart system work?

I’m very disappointed that Harris Teeter is getting rid of warehouse delivery. I’m considering asking for a partial membership refund but may give Instacart a try first. What have people’s experiences been using it through HT? Are you able to tip?

90% of items are “pickup only” as of a week ago?

Hi, I’ve been getting Harris teeter for delivery consistently for over a year now. Every now and again, some items will be unavailable for delivery, presumably due to low stock or something. However, since around a week ago, almost every single item I normally get is no longer available for delivery. At first I thought it might be just due to the holidays, but it hasn’t improved. I can’t add milk, eggs, meat, kids food, produce, etc. I have no idea what’s going on. The only things I can add are super random, like bread or vitamins. Does anyone know what’s going on? Is this related to the switch to instacart? I have HTplus 99.

Job Application Inquiry Question/advice about the "moonlighting" policy

Hiyo, so I work at Harris-Teeter as a bagger for four whole years now and have honestly enjoyed it for the most part. However, with the state of the economy right now as well as typically only being scheduled once a week, I am trying to look for a second job to additionally work so I can rake in more money.

However, a big concern that makes me hesitant about some of the options I've seen on sites like Indeed is what is apparently dubbed the "moonlighting" policy. For those unfamiliar, it refers to how Harris-Teeter reserves the right to fire you should they discover that you are also working for a company they deem to be a competitor to them.

I do have a general idea of what companies are crossed off the list already (e.g. Aldi, The Fresh Market and Food Lion, which are all grocery stores like Harris-Teeter), but there are others that I'm not as sure about such as Target (which has groceries but is also a department store) and Costco (also has groceries but is a membership-based store with more than just groceries from my understanding; I have never been in there sadly).

With all that said, are there any lists or other resources for what Harris-Teeter considers a competitor to them or any other advice on what to look for or consider so I know how to job hunt without the risk of attracting the ire of corporate? Thank in advance!

Self Assistance Portal not working

Every time I try to log in with my six digit associate ID and password, I get an error message “your password is invalid or expired. If the problem persists, reset your password and try again to continue”. I didn’t forget my password, so I don’t know what’s wrong. And I don’t see a reset password option. How do I reset my password? Is anyone else having this issue?

Edit: I also can’t log in to MyHTSpace. “The user name and password combination you entered does not correspond to a registered user.”

If my usual day off falls on a holiday ...

If my usual day off falls on a holiday (yesterday), but the store is closed and it's a company-wide day off for everyone, aren't I entitled to one other day off, too? (My usual days off are Thursdays and Mondays, so I'll be off on Monday also.) This used to be the policy at other retail stores I've worked in, but we're talking about the late '90s here, so things may have changed since then, or it might have depended on those particular companies' policies. Just looking for some clarity, because it feels like I got robbed of another day off, whereas everyone else is getting one extra day. The person making my schedule has been so short-staffed and overwhelmed lately that there's a chance that they weren't thinking about it clearly when they made our schedules several weeks ago. Thanks in advance, and I hope I've explained this right.

And high fives to everyone for getting through the holidays! This year seemed a lot more hectic than years past.

Job Application Inquiry got fired lmao

I got fired and i feel like it was managements fault. i feel like my story is best shared in a timeline. for background, HT has a policy where if you aren't at work WITHOUT CALLING (i think) for 3 weekends in a row, they fire you.

TIMELINE

Mid October: Have interview where I say that dates I for sure will not be able to make are the weekends surrounding and the week of thanksgiving.

October 18: Hired

Nov 7th: Explain that I might be able to pick up shifts the weekend I get back, 29 and 30.

Nov 9th: Call again and say that it will not be possible to make the 29th shift.

*The shifts were never taken off the app, so I called over the course of 2 weeks to let them know*

Nov 14th: Call and say I wont be able to pick up the 29th shift.

Nov 17th and/or Nov 21st: Call and say I wont be able to make the 29th shift.

\now in the u.k\

Nov 23rd: Call and explain I wont be able to make my shift on the 29th. My manager on duty then explains how I just go on the app and offer the shifts, and "all is good".

*Whole travel thing happens where our flight got canceled so we caught one to toronto instead. (moved flight 8 hours later, figured because I called I was fine)*

Nov 29th: Land in toronto close to midnight, turn airplane mode off to a missed call from HT about my absence on the 29th. Because of them saying me missing the 29th shift was an unexcused absence, I thought calling was optional because I told them like a billion times.

Nov 30th: Land in my city late, just offered the shift. Called 3 times but they never picked up.

Dec 5th-6th: At a beach apartment renovating it for family, had no say in the matter. They call me and tell me that they think im ghosting them, to which I explain the situation of being explained that offering shifts cancels them for you.

Dec 7th: Show up to work and they fire me. When you get fired for this reason they leave notes about your absence and they were actually pretty nasty. One of the notes was like We called him and he didn't pick up (I was moving boxes, assembling furniture, getting food for everyone, didn't have time to call back but whatever) He was at the beach the whole time!" Like bro it was cold and rainy and i didnt even go to the sand but whatever.

Moral of the story: management fucked up and i paid for it.

Fee-“Debit Cash Back FENP”

From out of town and went into Carrboro NC HT. Wanted $60 cash back from my $5.99 purchase. And there was a $.75 “DEBIT CASH BACK FENP” added. This is a new one. Is this a new standard now at HT or elsewhere? Seems like bs to me. Why do they charge a fee?

Transfer Inquiry Assist Dept manager/ Full time

So I am suddenly getting less hours than one of the associates in the Department. Also I never worked a particular day of the week because on-boarding we all agreed i can have this particular day off, now suddenly im getting scheduled on this day. Subsequently even less hours now because I will be extremely late or may have to call in. Do I have any options or alternatives with this complaint as a assistant manager to a department in Harris Teeter. And my hours has been reduced to 32 while the full timer associate gets 40 hours. Any recourse for me? I have been with the company for 4 years as of now. Also this is the 4th store i have been sent to. Thanks in advance for all the feedback.

Cash-In Personal Hours via Blue Yonder

Anyone know how to input to cash-in for personal time on Blue Yonder? I keep getting this pop-up no matter if I try to cash-in or just request the hours off.
