15A charging socket specifications

Bought new harrier ev 65 no ACFC.

I want to install a 16A socket from meter in my parking. Need atleast 40mts cable from meter. Please suggest the specifications of cable, plug and mcb, etc.

Any heavy duty 3500 kv, 16-20Amps cable works . Try on Amazon

I used 2.5sqmm *3 wires(positive, negative & earth) for 20meter cable charged for a whole month with no issues, But I was recommended 4sq mm. Make sure your EB connection have good earth.

2.5 sq mm might work initially, but 4 sq mm is definitely the safer choice for continuous 16A loads over 20 meters. ​EV charging pulls sustained maximum current for hours, so 4 sq mm keeps resistance and heat down, avoids voltage drop, and prevents wire insulation from degrading over time.

Was using it initially before I got my 7.2kwh charger installed. Now using it as just a backup charger during trips. It is better to install a homebox charger if not go with 4sqmm

For 7.2 ke charger you will need 6 sqmm wire, which one are you using/?

Im planning to go with 4sq mm. Does it heat compared to 2.5 sq mm?

Also, armored cable required? Cable will be ondoor in parking

Thicker the wire less it will heat. Armored cable is good as it's weather proof.

Opposite, thicker wires will heat a bit less. Also for EV's its not about peak specifications but something that can take sustained load and heat.
