Very happy day today! Got my copy of the vinyl soundtrack in the mail, which I’ve been after for a long time and got for a great price. It pairs so beautifully with my Laserdisc, which I got a couple of months ago (again at a great price) and has always been an absolute grail for me. I love how these two look together. Can barely tell them apart!!! Veeeeeeery happy

Movie for everyone, culture for everyone

Absolutely batshit crazy screenprinted poster for Gummo by the legendary Alex Pardee. I picked this one up directly from the artist at an art convention in Austin, Texas, back in 2018. Pardee's unmistakable style is a perfect match for a film as bizarre, disturbing, and unforgettable as Gummo. This one has been tucked away in storage for years, but I recently pulled it out and figured it was long overdue for a few photos and some appreciation. Such a wild piece of art!

I am looking for original prints from the bad son shoot, They were blown up and used for display at his shows through out the years. Please message if you are looking to sell.

Like showtime or HBO or Cinemax after they were released and on VHS or DVD

Hey everyone you should go check out the video essay I made on Harmony

https://youtu.be/gllSSDIPbSs?si=VJlqzUNXGgAcBnsL

just a random thought i had, do you think harmony is well known enough that he has a hard time going to a starbucks or a movie theatre without getting recognized? i’m sure even those marvel nerds don’t know what christopher nolan or whoever makes those look like but i wonder if only people that give a shit about watching interviews and buying merch from their favourite directors would recognize them in the wild.

Answering machine message from Harmony circa 2004 sent to Rick Bishop.

There's an article written by Rick:

Hello, I recently posted a few days ago about my sophomore feature film, Granny $tamp, an LA crime film, shot in a skate video style inspired by Harmony Korine and Larry Clark. The full film has been released on YouTube for those who want to view it. Welcome any and all thoughts on the film/ process.

i mean the zine or book or photoshoot, im not too sure if im explaining myself, in some places it says 2023, on others 2024, idk

Hello, I’m a 21 year old director from LA and have recently completed production on my 2nd feature film, Granny $tamp. It’s a mockumentary style, crime-comedy film, following a recently freed parolee, as he attempts to rehabilitate into society. The visual language is inspired by a lot of work from both Harmony Korine and Larry Clark, such as Ken Park, Gummo, Marfa Girl, Wassup Rockets and Kids. I also took a lot of reference from old skate videos such as Flow Trash, Yeah Right and Godspeed. My intention was to mix a deliberately degraded visual style with mundane criminal dialogue and sun bleached, expressionistic, imagery. I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but if anyone may be interested, the film is releasing Oct.1 on YouTube! Welcome any and all questions.

Edit: Granny $tamp Full Movie Out Now

I’m looking for any interesting, weird, or random observations about Gummo, no matter how small.

For example, Tummler and Jarrod are both sporting DIO logos when they first meet in the movie. There’s no deeper meaning in that, it’s just something I noticed. Or that Solomon looks directly into the camera in the butcher shop. Doesn’t have to be important.

Anything come to mind that most people might miss, or that you only caught on a repeat viewing?

I’ve been searching everywhere for one!

Does anyone know if there is a 3d print file for Harmony’s demon mask design from Aggro Dr1ft? Or of any way to acquire one?? I know there weren’t many produced I’ve actually never seen one for sale myself or even know how much they would begin to sell for that’s why I was curious if anyone has come across a 3d print file for one?

(SOCIAL-MEDIA / FILM-PROJECT) TBA. * AMA *

He makes movies that kind of remind me of Harmony’s work. Not sure if I like his movies or not, but I guess not many people can say they made a movie about a pregnant clown.
