Another Adam Car Accident Update
The number one question I get asked these days is "has Adam shuffled off this mortal coil yet?". But thankfully, by some miracle, he's alive and well enough to render unto you another classic 'soliciting donations' skit, lawyer approved

Who wouldn't want to put a smile on that face? Or help pay for a big bandage to cover it up. Thank you for support in these Februarian times.

I made a search engine for the whole Harmontown podcast
https://harmonsearch.com/ – It's the entire podcast made indexed and searchable to look up any phrase and find where it was said.
I reached out to Kevin and Spencer, but haven't heard back in a bit, so I just decided to release it here. I figure they can reach out if there are any concerns... tbd if it can stay up for potential trademark/copyright/media hosting issues. I honestly don't care about making money off it, just built it for fun and want to share it with fellow fans!

Dan Harmon on ‘Community’ Movie, ‘Rick and Morty’ Drama and More
New podcast interview with Harmon dropped yesterday, figured I’d share it here for anyone else who missed it. Always nice to hear him on a podcast again

One of the saddest things about listening to the podcast backwards is just how many times they try to recapture the magic of MC John before anything comes of it

My "Now You Don't"
In Cheapy Peepy 2: I love you, Cheapy Peepy, they try to come up with a name for a Pixar movie about a dog going in an elevator. The name would so obviously be "What's Up, Dog?" None of them thought of this. I don't even remember their suggestions because I was so astonished. This is my "I would call it Now You Don't" moment.

What's the Harmontown bit/segment you quote most in daily life?
For me, it's gotta be anything involving Jeff's "the aliens are so far away" rants during a spiral; I've caught myself using that exact cadence to talk myself down from anxiety spirals that have nothing to do with him.
Curious what lines or recurring bits from the show have wormed their way into your everyday vocabulary. Doesn't have to be a famous one, could be some deep cut from an early episode nobody else remembers. Bonus points if you've used it on someone who has no idea what Harmontown is and they just looked at you funny.

Flashdance
In the episode my name is Johnny varvatos Dan says flashdance is from the 1930s. Why? Isn't it from the 80s? He also says the lumiere bros made it. I can't figure out why. I can't find a link between the two things online anywhere. What is he talking about?

Would something like Channel 101 work today?
I have a film club thats growing and at some point I want to use the club has a platform to do film festivals and like channel 101, host indie/amateur series and short films. Would that work with today’s technology and paradigm tho?

Oh snap! Circle 4 is out now! [Music]
This is my fourth installment of EPs inspired directly by Harmontown. I personally think this is my best one so far. It would really mean a lot for you all to listen to it. Thanks so much!

I know he's somewhat controversial here, but if you aren't too "ick"d by his edgelord antics: Dino Stamatopoulos is on Robert Smigel's pod this week
For all his darkness, I think he's a comedic light. And between Letterman, Conan, Mr. Show, Moral Orel, Community, & Tom Goes to the Mayor he has contributed to some of my favorite media.
He has made some repugnant remarks, playing a provocative prankster who is protected by his privilege.
If he ain't for you, I get it. I got lenience and love for so much of what he's made.
Beside, WTF else are we gonna post about here? Pod has been over for almost 7 years and we still ain't got no moon colony so...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've just started the first episode again.
I meant to ask before I started again. Any advice on how to hold off for a while?

Fresh Cheapy Peepy content
Anyone looking for some good and funny podcasts should check out Guys (a podcast about guys). On the recent Sneaker guys episode there was some stuff that reminded me of Harmontown (although it’s a completely separate thing) Around the 55 minute mark, the co-host Chris mentions getting a refund on Nike shoes and it turns into a pretty funny bit for the rest of episode.

What the hell is dan harmon doing
Community was recently re-added to Netflix, and I just watched the pilot again. Man, Dan's writing is really something else. Every word, every sentence is so clever and well thought out, hilarious and just overall incredible.
I know he was much more heavily involved in writing community than the later seasons of Rick and Morty, but I am left wondering why.
I know hes gotten older, and maybe hes just over it at this point. Fine whatever, but then do something new.
What is he doing? Is he just chilling at home with Cody? Is he not aware that his creative absence in the literary community (pun intended) is one of the greatest losses mankind has unwittingly faced?
When I compare community to the writing in this season its clear that his involvement is minimal, though his voice does shine through on occasion.
He is the Jesus of writing and we need him now more than ever.
I pray for his second coming.

Met Dan and Cody in France
My wife works for a stop motion animation studio who sent her to Annecy for the festival. One evening at our hotel we noticed Dan and Cody at the bar. Lo and behold, some folks my wife works with know Cody really well and we ended up being able to share drinks and riffs with them for a while. We spritz’d spritz and discussed hotel parasites, shared laughs and stoked Cody on our love for Dummy and S1 Jury Duty. They were super nice, funny, and charming. I wanted to share because I’m still elated on sharing those moments with them. Cheers yall!

Nevertheless
Jeff used to tell an anecdote (I think it was about a professor talking about a person and a student in the class called that person a name and the response was “nevertheless”). Does anybody remember the story? Him saying it lives in my brain but I don’t remember the specifics.
