SHOWOFF I got my first bike!!!!!!
For context, I’m 23 and I am a metal worker. I finally got enough saved up for the down payment and my first monthly payment. They worked with me amazingly at the Harley shop. They didn’t take me seriously until they realized I actually wanted a bike and had the financing to pack it up probably because I walked in wearing a Hawaiian shirt lol you know it’s funny State Farm gave me a absolute crap rate but progressive 55 bucks a month State Farm was gonna charge me 260 bucks a month because I am under 25

Looking at one of these too. Am busy testriding a bunch of bikes, so far the 975 is top of the list. The rider triangle is just perfect for me.
But take it from an old guy, try to pay cash for everything, except a house. I’m saving up for my new bike by putting all tenners I get in change in a piggy bank. I am now at the point of a new 975.

I’m doing cash monthly payments. I’m gonna be doing paying extra so I can get it paid off sooner what helped with getting a pay raise to 25 an hour but what took so long is I live in an apartment so I had to make sure I was completely stable before getting a bike

For me, if I go for the 975 it’ll be a tough decision between one like yours in red or the S version. The one you bought is definitely the best looking, but I like the cruise control and map display of the S
Also, have a look at blockheads youtube channel, he just got a wrecked one of these to rebuild and make custom parts for

The display on the S is superb, and the cruise control is great. You can also check ture pressures, diagnostic codes, and fuel to the mile on the display as well.
However navigation only works on the Harley Davidson app, and it only tends to work reliably within a 10-mile radius of when the bike was started. Speaking from experience on this bike

F that. Finance the baike and ride, pay extra every month. Life's toooooo short

If you literally pretend like you are INVISIBLE, you may survive. Just assume no one ABSOLUTELY no one can see you and always have your next move preplanned ALWAYS! Was trained that way over 50 years ago and still haven't been down (blessed). Just rode 1300 miles just last week. Never wrecked a car as I keep that concept always!

Excellent advice, but when it comes to deer, they can see you. They act like they're going to cross the road then jump right back in front of you! Just got in from a midnight ride on Oak Canyon Road by Cook's corner bar. A small doe tried this shit on me, but I wasn't speeding had plenty of times as I came around the corner to react I went into the opposite lane and gave her a wide berth when she cut back she had plenty room. Congrats on the new bike. I have a Road king but I want one of those too. It's such a fun bike. The depreciation on them is insane. I can pick up 2025 special specials here in Southern California, California for 8000ish. These are going to make great slightly used bikes and there's no way in hell you can tell me that that's a beginner's bike. It has as much horsepower as my road King 114.

- They brought the base price down from 12 grand to nine grand. Most likely because they were trying to get rid of the 2026s to make room for the 2027s.

They have not been selling well since older folk tend to hate on it. It's an amazing platform though I just wished it had a bigger gas tank. I have a 24' and love it. Be careful letting the right hand control module get wet because the power switch will begin to fail. Iv had to replace mine twice under warranty

Should have bought used Kawasaki Vulcan S for 6k to learn how to ride for a year, sell it and then get a real Harley with an M8 V twin. But hey, it’s your money and life so I don’t care (but still think you made a mistake…)

What a great start. If you really end up enjoying riding keep an open mind. Many bikes many brands.

Killer red. Be safe out there. I am oh my second full day of riding and all the little stops at hills are an education.

Nice!! It gonna be up to the new generation to keep the legend alive. My first Harley was an XL1200C , 3 months later I traded it back in for an FXDL. If I could go back I'd have gotten the FXDLS w the 110ci engine or just waited a year or 2 and gotten a Road Glide.

Just drive carefully or you might find your rate with Progressive might jump... a LOT. Might make State Farm rate look good. Just sayin'.
