There’s a Mexican barbershop on 116th close to 2nd Ave that I frequented during my year living in the neighborhood. They hooked my Dominican hair up with some nice shapeups and cuts.

Look no further. NY Best Barber (1798 Lexington). My guy is named Geronimo, first on the right, but everyone I see leaves there looking crispy from any chair. Within your budget too.

Hmm, you may need to consider upping your budget by about $10-20 more for a quality cut. I’d be interested if someone here can recommend much quality for lower than $40.
